Crescent City Oral Surgery
Dr. Rathana (Ray) Lim is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon and founder of Crescent City Oral Surgery. Dr. Lim grew up in Northern California and completed his undergraduate education at Sacramento State University with a degree in Biological Science. He completed his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at USC School of Dentistry in Southern California in 2007. He matched and commenced his training at the prestigious LSU oral and maxillofacial surgery residency in 2009, where he earned his medical degree in 2012, and residency in 2015. Upon completion of residency, Dr. Lim joined the LSU Oral & Maxillofacial Program as an assistant professor and director of undergraduate oral surgery.
Today, Dr. Lim continues to operate on the cutting edge of oral and maxillofacial surgery. He is well-versed in the use of virtual surgical planning and medical modeling. This allows him to treatment plan the surgery prior to the actual operation to ensure the optimal outcome. He uses CT-guided implant placement of single implant all the way to full mouth reconstruction. He also uses CT navigation during procedures ranging from placement of implants for oral reconstruction to the reconstruction of multiple facial fractures following a trauma. As director of Crescent City Oral Surgery, he continues to use the full scope of his training in his daily practice. He performs dentoalveolar surgery, TMJ surgery, bone grafting, dental implants, oral pathology and facial trauma, as well as all other surgical procedures pertaining to the head and neck.
During his free time, Dr. Lim enjoys spending time with his wife Amber, their 3 kids, Raymond, Emma, and Avery, and enjoying the New Orleanian culture.
